Move to Move Interactive Workshop

Move to Move climbingMove to Move has had a special interest in working with mountain athletes from a development and rehabilitation perspective since its inception.  Move to Move teachers and therapists have studied under world leaders in the area of a general movement practice, and combined this knowledge with their passion for climbing to come up with a very unique perspective.

Looking deeply into the demands placed on the climber’s body has given insight into common deficits and issues that arise in the climber. Finding solutions and treatments to address these issues is what Move to Move does best.

Some of Canada’s strongest climbers train at Move to Move on a consistent basis. Throughout the years Move to Move has been invited to share their expertise in seminars with associations such as Calgary Climbing Centre, Canada Strong Climbing, Alberta Climbing Association, and the Alpine Club of Canada.

Move to Move has also worked with a wide variety of Mountain Enthusiasts, cyclists, runners, climbers, kayakers, hikers and many more.  From elite level to the weekend warrior, all levels have benefited from this practice.

Lead Teacher Bonar McCallum and Lead physiotherapist Lea Juszkiewicz will give insight into this body of work. This participatory talk will include a number of interactive activities and drills to highlight the material covered.
